Telepresence is a compilation of technologies and knowledge which permits an individual to sense as if they were present there or to have an effect, to give the look that they were there at a location other than the exact location. It is an outcome of most recent invention of video conference technologies. To be more specific it’s a much developed video conferencing system given by corporate offices. Telepresence generally refers to two things.

• Television: Whenever we watch television we do not cross the boundaries of television set even if it’s a live broadcast. It’s always there in our mind that it’s a television set. • Teleconference: This allows many people to interact at a particular time with each other at different location. Through this you can interact with several persons at a particular time without all of them present in a particular place.

• Telepresence: Here many users can drop in a meeting. Here we can hear the person as well as visualize the person. People can be at different place but using this mode of communication you can interact easily or attend any business meeting. Unlike other type of communication here one can even see the facial expression the people on the other side.

Major manufacturers of telepresence equipment are Polycom, Cisco, Lifesize etc. So, by using this method of communication one can easily get in touch with others.
